Comments Thread For: Steven Butler vs. Brandon Cook Undercard is Set

Montreal - Eye of the Tiger Management, United Boxing Promotions and evenko, in association with Videotron, will be presenting on January 28 at Bell Centre a boxing card that will be highly anticipated considering the level of adversity and the calibre of each of the bouts scheduled. The event, highlighted by the unification bout for the WBA and IBF North American titles between young Quebec-based boxing star Steven Butler (18-0-1, 15 KOs) and no 5 on the WBA contenders' list Brandon Cook (17-0, 10 KOs), will also feature some of the most talented fighters from the Quebec province, including Simon Kean (7-0, 7 KOs), Yves Ulysse Junior (11-0, 8 KOs), Mathieu Germain (8-0, 5 KOs), Batyr Jukembayev (7-0, 6 KOs), Ayaz Hussain (11-1, 9 KOs), David Throux (11-2, 8 KOs) and Ablaikhan Khussainov (4-0, 3 KOs) in confrontations that promise to be exciting and action-packed.

Mighty American 8-5-4-2? OK it's not a great looking undercard on paper.More of a showcase to get the locals in the seats but that's cool.I really like the main event.Should be a good fight.

      Cook vs Butler

One of the better and most underrated fighters on the undercard isn't even mentioned. Josh O'Reilly. This kid never gets any hype, no promotion, no talk, but he has quietly made a name for himself and is one to watch out for. I've had the privilege of seeing him live a few times, technically a beautiful boxer and someone people should be aware of. Great card, can't wait for main event.
