    Stop this Mayweather-McGregor ****

Boxers are athletes, not fighters. MMA fighters are, well, mixed martial arts fighters. Boxing is just one of the MMA fighters' many tools and a boxer got no defense against a good groundgame. It is ****** that some would even suggest Mayweather standing a chance in an MMA contest...

We've seen fights end without ever going to the ground. It's not crazy to think the boxer puts a combination together and ends it without getting touched

      McGregor doesn't have a groundgame.

Unless you count falling to the ground, rolling over and sticking out your backside as a groundgame.

Although MMA is more well rounded, it too is extremely limited to what one can do in the streets.

Did u really say boxers are not FIGHTERS? Lmfao! Wow, ive heard some good 1s on nsb but this tops all. U should be banned for this.

The difference between the 2 different types of ATHLETES has a lot to do with muscle memory & training methods. But Boxers are much more durable & Holly Holm proved this. An MMArtist has yet to do so & likely wont unless by fluke.

I think the premise isn't that Floyd is going into the octagon, its that Conor is going into the ring.

I'm definitely in agreement with you that boxers in the octagon are racking up L's left & right, but I also think MMA guys are racking up L's left & right in the ring too.

The difference is an MMA guy going into the ring isn't at as much of a disadvantage as a boxer in the octagon. While MMA guys aren't trained as highly in the art of boxing they are trained in boxing to some degree while boxers aren't trained at all, almost 100% of the time, in many disciplines that are used in Mixed Martial Arts & won't usually even have a takedown defense to best use their boxing. Thus ultimately MMA guys will have & have had more W's in boxing than boxers have had in MMA if you look at the guys who've competed in both sports.

That said the fight isn't happening.

the truth ^.Connors not a ground fighter but hed have more than enough ability and experience with wrestling and grappling to be able to take floyd down with no problems at all. And even if floyd landed, who was the last guy he took out with one punch? Just cause mcgregors nota boxer doesnt mean he cant hold a punch. For some reason, posters that are usually pretty good on here, get really touchy when someone makes out a boxer isnt the ultimate badass and would lose to an mma fighter. Absolutely deluded if they think mayweather has any chance in mma or a fight. IN the octagon he wouldnt have a clue how to even check a leg kick, you dont get anyone fighting in there with a conventional boxing stance for a good reason, because it doesnt work.

Compared to Mayweather, McGregor is Royce Gracie and Bruce Baumgartner rolled into one.
