Floyd offer conor $15 mil

Floyd says his guaranteed would have to be $100 mil while offering conor only $15 mil. floyd's last fight against berto, he only made $32 mil. there is NO way this fight will generate that much money for floyd to be asking for $100 mil. Is this a clear duck? why would floyd priced himself out? $30 mil for floyd and $10mil for conor is more reasonable.

Conor is about 500x more famous than berto and by now, more famous than floyd

i dont think this fight will/should happen but why make that comparison. If properly promoted it would be closer to the Pac fight.

famous yes, but its a mismatch and everyone knows it since it'll be a boxing match. nobody is going to pay for it for floyd to be demanding $100 mil.

This fight is going to happen. I don't think it's bigger than Pac-May, but it will be close. $15 Million base and probably another $40M on the backend if PPV is an 85-15 split and Connor is looking at a $55 Million pay day. Mayweather probably looking at around $300M for himself.

The boxing purist in me doesn't want it to happen, it will be bad for the sport no matter what happens. The sports fan in me is curious to see what an amateur would look like against an elite talent.

The stakes for both boxing and MMA will be high. Most likely scenario is that Floyd destroys McGregor inside 6 rounds. Second most likely scenario is that it goes the distance with Floyd winning 119-108 with a KD. But there will be drama, and there's always the what ifs. What if McGregor being a total amateur in there allows him to throw some weird punch that catches Mayweather by surprise and hurts him? What if Mayweather can't hurt McGregor and McGregor swarms and roughs him up? What if McGregor is getting destroyed and decides to kick Mayweather in the head to get out of the fight? What if McGregor starts a fight during the buildup?

And what do all of these what ifs mean for MMA and boxing? If a miracle happened and McGregor got a lucky punch in to win, boxing would be harmed in that a total amateur MMA guy beat one of the best ever with barely any boxing back ground. If McGregor does something to get out of the fight like an illegal move it harms MMA by making them look like thugs. If Mayweather destroys and embarrasses McGregor like he should, MMA takes a hit too.

Bottom line, this fight is going to happen. Too much money to be made. And May and Connor will probably sit down to a nice meal together before it's made and talk about all the crazy things they can do to hype the fight, really make it a spectacle.

A Mayweather-McGregor fight would easily do over 2 mil buys. But 2 mil buys only covers Mayweathers $100 mil (if the PPV is $100) and McGregor would no doubt want atleast half of what Mayweather would earn.
