    What defines a 'shot' fighter?

What's your definition? To me, a fighter is no longer capable facing world level competition.

If you mean fights between Klitschko and Samuel Peter, then this is a quite complicated issue. The Klitschkos are, first of all, clever businessmen. The older is even one of the biggest politicians in the Ukraine. So, it looks like a match-fixing, when such outstanding athletes as Mr. Peter or Odlanier Solis easily lost to them.

There's not one particular thing. To me, I think a fighter is shot if they lose or struggle against fighters they would otherwise easily beat.

Good example of current shot fighters just off the top of my head: Tyson Marquez and Evgeny Gradovich.

Guys who no longer can take punches and crack guys chins. Tyson Marquez was a good shout from an above poster. I watched that guy go to war a few years ago. He was a destroyer who could rumble.. he's been shot since the age of 25.
