      Follow the money.

If James Degale wins, his biggest fight schedule, tbh, would be the mandatory vs Callum Smith (homecoming fight in London), a WBC/IBF/WBA unification fight with George Groves in London (possibly in a stadium), and then the likely IBF mandatory defense somewhere in the US (depending on who emerges), before a possible move up in weight.

If Badou Jack wins, the biggest fights for him are likely up at 175lbs anyway (the Callum Smith defense will likely happen in Las Vegas, before a move up in weight), with the biggest fight being a possible showdown against Andre Ward.

If Badou Jack moves up the easier route to go is Adonis. Ward has the rematch clause, the IBF mandatory and the WBA mandatory. A third option would be Ward retired and go for one of the vacant belts.

The Ward fight wouldn't be in Oakland; Andre Ward just had a fight that did $3m at T-Mobile Arena, and Floyd Mayweather and Mayweather Promotions are both based out of Las Vegas.

Ward vs Jack, at the T-Mobile Arena, with Mayweather and Roc Nation pushing the press, would be a massive fight (and a fight that possibly would merit a PPV push).

possible, but that's hbo vs showtime/pbc..on top of that tickets to see kov ward would have to be much higher it was a lot put into that fight..

stevenson and the 175lb division is just more organin in canada...they've been waiting on a huge opponent for him..they are better fans they show up

Ward owes no fights to HBO, so not sure what you're arguing. Beyond that, I'm pretty sure that most of the folks who bought tickets for Kovalev-Ward came out to see Andre Ward; I doubt that they sell out the building, but I think Ward-Jack comes close.

Badou Jack isn't that good. He will get beat as soon as he steps in against a quality foe at 175
