Big admirer of Andre Ward but I have to agree with Floyd. He definitely lost that fight with Kovalev and it's understandable why he is avoiding the rematch. Folks may think it's a negotiating tactic but I think deep down even Ward knows with he has zero chance of getting a corrupt decision two times in a row and I fully expect the crusher to beat the tar out of him in the rematch.

ward should be talking sh-it about floyd and saying how he lost to castillo, maidana, pac, saying how his dad is a garbage trainer, saying how floyd cherry picked old fighters and how he fights prime fighters. maybe next time he would do more than 160k ppv buys but hes playing mr switzerland

but seriously the same way you can argue Kovalev won is the same way an argument can be made that Cuadras beat Chocolatito..so if Ward cannot be P4P #1 due to a close fight then Chocolatito can't have that spot either. compare Ward's face to Chocolatito after Cuadras fight.. he looked like he was slap boxing with Freddy Krueger.

so if a close fight disqualified you from #1 then it has to go to Lomachenko or Pacquiao.

And Floyd did imidiate rematches. He wanted to prove himself. Ward acting like he humiliated Kov, and that he is the aside, and the rematch is not needed.

Ward looked crazy with how he handled this victory. Getting this rematch should be the most important thing on his mind, and he out here looking crazy

Mayweather was supportive of Ward in the build up to the Kov fight and Ward threw it in his face. If Mayweather finished at expressing his belief that Ward lost, I'd say Ward has nothing to complain about. He took things to a ****** level with his comments on Hunter.

Floyd thought Kov won and most people seem to agree.
