Brook may have also taken the GGG fight because it was a "no lose" situation, but Brook couldn't land any big fights at WW at the time so it's understandable. Khan has a big fight available here and is ducking it.

Yes but as i explained, Top Rank didn't sign their end of the contract and made Vargas v Pac instead because Bob prefers in house fights so he gets the cut of everything. That fight had fallen through before the GGG was even signed. Bob does whats best for him and doesn't like the money going outside, understandable.

Even the trainer of Vargas couldn't understand why Top Rank were not playing ball when it was a big payday, but it was because they were working out the Pacquiao fight.

Top Rank were holding things up on their side of the contract and the reason was Arum wanted Vargas for Pacquiao. Arum prefers in house fights because he makes a cut of everything. Vargas might have earned more v Brook in the UK, but Arum's cut would be significantly less and it would be a Matchroom or co-promoted event.

Even the trainer of Vargas is on record stating he couldn't understand why Top Rank were holding up the contract negotiations when Vargas was getting paid so much, then it turned out it's because Arum wanted that in-house event. Matchroom, Brook and Vargas had all agreed their terms but Top Rank hadn't. So it was neither of the fighters fault, just Top Rank making more business for themselves, which is also understandable.

I like Khan, but this is why i didn't get excited when the latest 'rounds of talks' between Khan and Brook were being talked up again.

Every time Khan comes out and says he wants to face brook, it's immediately or shortly after, followed by 'i'll fight him after he's done this..or done that'.

I know Khan Vs Brook is a big money fight and worth seeking out, but Hearn and Brook should (and i'm sure they do) see through the talk. It's unlikely the fight happens.

Brook needs a tune up as well, BUT, he gambled with Triple G, and the Spence fight will be enforced, so i dont feel sorry for him. Spence is a dangerous fight for Kell, and honestly Brook probably needed a tune up, but rules are rules.
