Comments Thread For: Adonis Stevenson: Kovalev looked like a 4 round fighter vs. Ward!

There certainly isn't any love lost between WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (28-1) and former WBA/IBF/WBO champion Sergey Kovalev (30-1). The two men have mocked each other for years in the media while their attempts to unify all four major belts to produce an undisputed champion have failed for various reasons.

As opposed to Stevenson who looked like a club brawler vs Fonfara.

The knocked down might have changed Kov's mentality that he could get Ward again alongside with his stamina.

Kov did have a good round some where after the 5 but once Ward had him thinking he started to just wait around

Ward's body shots took a toll on Kovalev. I still had Kov winning rounds 10 and 12

                Well fight him Stevenson.... Simple!

If I recall correctly, you were the one who jumped networks and did not fight him.

I agree completely with Adonis Stevenson, this overrated HBO hype-job could not stop a 50 year Grandfather in Bernard Hopkins ; when Joe Smith Jr. tops your performance only su****ion to your caliber occurs in the mind along with the fact that Chilemba managed to see the final bell in your own home country weighs heavily in validating Mr. Stevenson's ( lineal champion ) sentiments.
