I would like Brook to take a fight at 147 before he fights Spence to see if he can make the weight healthy. Ideally against Khan, but I do want that Spence-Brook fight bad.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, who promote Brook, has received an additional extension from the IBF to begin negotiations with Spence.

This is being reported by others as meaning Brook got an extension beyond the original extension to Feb 26 that was granted last year due to the orbital injury.

I understand why. Because Khan is an easier fight. Let's not act like Kell has always sought to fight the best. He's been more than content fighting mando's of the week. He's pulled out of a lot of competitive fights. So don't act like criticism of Brook is unfounded.

Whether Kell thinks Khan is an easier fight or not, there's no doubt it's a far, far more lucrative fight. There's a lot to like about Errol, and a lot of folk are real high on him, but ultimately he's still a prospect and doesn't bring much to the table. Is Spence a tougher opponent? IMO sure, but you don't really need to look beyond the money to see why Kell would prefer to fight Khan.
