Golovkin must be begging and praying this doesn't get made. Canelo-Jr. would do 1M PPV buys minimum while Golovkin-Jacobs will be lucky to touch 97K.

Canelo could jack-off live on PPV and STILL have more PPV buys then Jacobs/GGG!! Didn't you learn ANYTHING from the Liam Wilson/Canelo fight U DUMB ***. 300k buys to fight a guy who NEVER Fought in the US or even on HBO or SHOWTIME before.

Even GBP said they didn't hit 300k. Glaser said 200k. GGG Jacobs can beat that. I don't doubt you'd pay to watch Canelo whack off, dumb perv

Ggg-jacobs wont even beat 200k if you go by glassers numbers, they will be lucky to hit 97k again...

Seriously, who fkn cares about PPV numbers?

From a purely boxing perspective, Canelo should be trying to fight BJS in May followed by GGG or Jacobs in September for all the marbles at MW

Chavez Jnr is irrelevant and has been for some time

This is part of BBB side's problem. His management and his fans, all 12 of them on this site, want to put him on some pedestal he hasn't earned. If Kovalev Ward did 150k than GGG/Jacobs isn't doing much more than that in March and probably less. Canelo can fight anyone on Cinco de Drinko and outsell this fight. They only question is by how much. With Chavez Jr. it could do 1 million buys as they can market the hell out of the rivalry and bring in the casuals on a big weekend for boxing. If its BJS it will still do better as he will be going for his second belt at 160.
You seem to think that Canelo dropping the belt to get leverage in negotiations was some death sentence. Outside the hardcore boxing fan base most people don't even know that happened and don't care about the titles. All these titles have done for BBB side is increase the sanctioning fee's he has to pay for each fight, they haven't done **** for his PPV buys.
If you want we can bet real $$$, not these useless points, on how many buys you think the PPV will do. I'm good for it, you can name your price. Easy money.

Completely agree with you, the problem is boxing is a business and boxers care about ppv and money more than anything, and that includes ggg, there is a reason he hasnt agreed to fight canelo despite having a 15 mill offer on the table..

My friends are generally the ultimate casuals when it comes to boxing.

Of the few who know who Canelo is, it is because he ducked GGG, a guy with a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar higher profile

That doesnt mean that they would buy a GGG fight but they literally could not give a crap about Canelo

Canelo has done himself real damage by blatantly ducking GGG

He has but fans have a short memory span. Canelo has WAY better fights at 154 then the only 1 great one at 160. He fights Andrade, Charlo Bros, Down the road Thurman and Spence all good! Who does GGG fight next??? Curbsize??? Heiland??? He won't move up so don't be silly on those fights.

I doubt that Canelo fights at 154 again and is just as likely to face Cotto again as any of the guys you mentioned

Assuming he beats Jacobs, GGG SHOULD fight BJS and then the winner of DeGale-Jack
