Is Floyd Mayweather correct that Ward lost to Kovalev?

I mean, of course - Kovalev won that fight.

Everybody who knows anything about boxing, knows that.

Ward did good to try and come back, and adjust - and at times he did have some good moments, and he definitely won some rounds.

But there's just no way Ward won 7 rounds in that fight - no way.

I've watched it about 5 times now, and I just can't find seven rounds to give Ward even when I'm intentionally TRYING to be biased.

When calling it fairly, with no bias - it's Kovalev 7 rounds, Ward 5 rounds; with the one point for the KD, that makes it 115-112 Kovalev.

You could say it was as much as 8 rounds to 4, or 9 rounds to 3 if you try hard and be biased for Kovalev.

It's funny as hell when people act like a round could go either way aka they didn't want to score for kov.. it goes one way only, just shows a lot of people don't even know what they're watching .

Kovalev did better than expected and Ward did worse than expected. I scored the fight three times and every time I had the same problems scoring the same rounds. I looked for different things each time and with some rounds, I went back and forth. It was touch and go with that fight, and it was easy to miss the effect of Ward's body work with Kovalev head hunting exclusively. Floyd has been wrong before like when he called out Dawson to take over as a major force, and Ward knocked him out. He is also wrong about Hunter.
