  • Daniyar Yeleussinov turns pro!!

Probably the #2 amateur boxer in the world and my personal favourite. This guy is a special talent, I have no doubt he's a future P4P fighter.

    Another great addition to 147!

You beat me to it lol.
I'm so excited. One of the top 3 fighters at the 2016 Olympics (Yeleussinov, Dusmatov, and La Cruz); the other two probably won't go pro though.
I am a little surprised with the promoter he signed with.

Wonder how quickly he will look to progress I hope he doesn't take too long.

Absolutely, he's gonna be based in Florida though, so he should get some good US exposure.

With Stanionis and Rabii also going pro recently, these guys could carry on their amateur rivalries as pros.

He probably wants to become a huge star in Asia first.
I'm glad they want to move him fast. He is in his mid-20s so no time to lose. With his style he could fight into his mid to late 30s though.
They need to allow him to adjust to the pro game first. Then I could see him winning a title in 1.5 to 2 years, which is their plan.

I think he may clean up 147 and 154 but we will see.
It won't be easy but I think he's that talented. I should probably see him as a pro first before making that bold statement lol. But yeah, let us see how he transitions into pro boxing first.
Some fun times at 147 in the near future.

I think he'll probably make more money staying amateur. He is also a small guy and there seems to be little interest in the small weight divisions.

Fighters from Uzbekistan just don't seem that interested in going pro unfortunately. And promoters aren't signing a lot of fighters right now anyway.

I would love to see Dusmatov, Zoirov, and Melikuziev all go pro.

Yes, I read that he will be making his debut in China, smart marketing plan. I think he can have a similar impact to Loma on the pro game, by 10 fights, everybody in boxing should know who he is.

His promoter said something about moving him along at a good pace, because of how naturally talented he is, so they won't be feeding him cans for 20 fights.

Damn, is he really as good as you guys talk? Like it's some Kazakh version of Loma, and the name of the thread with two exclamation marks almost sounds like "Now all these other fighters are ****ed up"

I'm also excited to see how big Magomed Kurbanov will be at 147 in next 2-3 years, he seems like a special talent
