Not sure how old you are, those fights were on what used to be called "closed-circuit TV" you had to go to a bar or a hotel or some auditorium or arena and PAY to get in, replays were on regular TV a week or two later....Last closed circuit fight I saw was Tyson-Spinks even then I am pretty sure it was around 30-40 bucks.

Tyson vs Spinks was HBO PPV...was the 1st PPV and could be ordered in the US through cable companies. However you being in Toronto would not have been able to get either HBO or the PPV and would have had to do the closed circuit route.
