honestly, i think joshua vs a top opponent is the biggest fight in boxing. at least it will generate the most revvie.


one of the resons they fight in vegas is because of taxes. there is no state income tax. if you fight in the UK you're subject to some serious, serious tax rates.


otherwise teh biggets fight in boxing is alvarez - golovkin. those two are without a doubt in the top 10.

floyd could come back tomrorow aginst manny and it would be the biggest fight in boxing in spite of how abdly the first fight ****** and what a sham it was for them to both wait until they were damn near ready to retire.

froch, likewise, could be in a huge fight if he came back against canelo, cahvez, or golovkin.

most HBO fighters earn similar money. around a million or so to fight as an A side. to get beyond that money you have to be somebody who they see as an investment for the future. even then, they can't pay much more than 3 million total for a fight. remember alexander - bradley? no? that's why HBO has a finite budget . they tanked over a quarter of the budget for the year on a fight that ****** and built toward nothing. basically made every major "a side vs A side" fight above 135 lbs a PPV, or a fight thaty only comes once in a blue moon.

If you are counting outside the US, Wlad is probably #2 behind Canelo and ahead of Manny at this point. Cotto, and the guys from England like Joshua and Brook, then GGG, Crawford and Broner are probably the next level.
