I don't think I'm making any radical observation here; Mayweather has a much more impressive resume if you look at the names on the list. What made Tyson a stand out wasn't his laundry list of opponents (because in truth he fought in a weaker heavyweight division than that of other greats), but rather it was the manner in which he completely dominated opponents. Half the time, he beat them before the first bell because they were intimidated to get in there and mix it up with a guy who as a rising prospect made first round KOs seem routine. Tyson is like Foreman - it's not the list of wins, it's the style of wins.

And, I say this as a die hard Tyson fanboy, if you're looking for someone to get you a couple weeks of coaching to get you ready for a fight, I'd take Mayweather over Tyson.

I think it was always rooted in Tyson being a big fan of Pac. Even at one point stating that he was the only spectacular fighter in the game. Plus - and this is based on nothing more than random guessing - Tyson probably doesn't like the fact that Mayweather routinely out shined Tyson as a box office draw. It's got to be hard to sit back after your career is over and watch as someone new comes along and just smashes all your records.

Tyson had to fight guys constantly bigger and taller than him, and he demolished them
90% of Mayweathers opponents are shorter and if they are taller have shorter reach than him, and he outpointed most of them.

Tyson was good.. But people live in their own bubble by saying a prime Tyson would have KO'ed him, obliterated that guy blah blah.. Give it up already, Mike was good at his peak & he didn't even last long..

                    Mayweather's resume >>>> Mike Tyson..
