If canelo can do 250k ppvs against liam smith then pacquiao should be able to do the same against horn. Not saying its right or that it should be on ppv but stars like pacquiao and canelo will do that much just off the strength of their own name, doesnt have to be a competitive fight or against someone else with a big following in the states. Doesnt mean hes a rod salka type of nobody bum either lets keep things in perspective

Theres this weird state rivalry here when it comes to getting big events, especially one-off sports events like this.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arum is looking at getting a big fee from the state governments to host this fight.

So its possible with that, the gate and local pub and ppv money they could cover a lot of the purse.

Well I cant go as far to say he is better than Salka. Both were completely unknown til put in the same sentence with a bigger name. The difference with Smith and these guys was at least he was holding a world title Salka never will and Horn hasn't even sniffed a titile in his 17 fights. Pacquiao is no longer must see tv either. Canelo is reaching his prime and improving and scoring KOs. While Pacquiao is on a rapid decline, decisioning guys he should be knocking out.

Doesn't matter who Pacquoao beat in his first 17 fights. What matters here is why this guy who only has 17 fights (against who?) going against Pac who even past his prime is gonna be faster, way more experienced and has more power? The only thing that may come in this fight is Roach may actually get a KO prediction right for the first time in years. Wouldn't be shocked if this ends Salka style.
