Must of been like 5-15 fans at the Puerto Rican day parade. Literally nobody asked for this fight

Rocnations boxing division is suspect, but lol at you for thinking they would end up like 50. Rocnation not only manages/promotes singers, but producers and managers as well. Rocnation also has one of the biggest and most successful sports management divisions in the game, a list which includes CC Sebathia, Dez Bryant, Ndamukong Suh, Kevin Durant, and yes Miguel Cotto. They got money, but they need to get that boxing side up and running at full force.

What fan would want this? Kirkland is completley shot. He got absolutley run over by Canelo after an already long layoff. This is an A-typical Kneeguel Cotto move. Picking a no hoper.
The fans would have rathered Marquez, maybe Maidana, or anybody who has something of accomplishment (currently) at 154

Is this guy on drugs? What fans want?

How about Cotto vs Marquez, Khan, Lara, Charlos brothers or againd Canelo for a 2nd time?

Kirkland is the best they could come up with? Minus well put Margarito against him one more time!

              FKN delusional!

And you decided not to give them what they wanted after hearing it?

Though let's be honest, Cotto is one of the few reliable sellers left in boxing. He could shadow box and sell more than 95% of the sport.

Yes you did, and I said they wouldn't. 50 had to embarrassingly turn tail and run, had no business acumen nor monetary backing. He got sued by a few boxers to be released from their contracts and loss millions. If Rocnation boxing fails, they would not in any way end up like 50 "in this game". Rocnation out the door offered major deals to multiple boxers, signed the third highest PPV attraction of this generation and followed that by signing the #1 P4P champion. This on it's own already indicates Rocnation doesn't end up looking completely foolish and embarrassed as 50 did. Any loss by the boxing division would be minimal due to the success of the rest of the company. So yeah, no, they will not end up like 50.

Rocnation should have put this on live network television. Cotto would have been the first major name in the sport of boxing since the Ali days to fight on network TV. Networks purchasing power is extremely high, including commercial time purchased. I think Rocnation would have made good money off something like that. This fight is on PPV because HBO cut it's boxing budget so fights with high paid fighters like Cotto, will be pushed to PPV constantly. Before you bring up Canelo, let me remind you that he doesn't make anywhere near Cotto, or Pac on his guarantee. Cotto and Pac are guaranteed upwards of 15 million when they fight, Canelo's is around 3 million, his highest guarantees were against Mayweather and Cotto at 5 million. HBO couldn't even afford to put Crawford on cable and actually let Pac walk off with his minimum guarantee of 350k PPV buys.
