Ryder vs Etches, and Price vs Hammer are 50/50 fights.

It's nice to see that fights like this are being made now. Some match-making has been absolutely horrific over the last few years.

None of those four fighters are world class though I think Ryder is decent - at that level good fights should be fairly easy to make you'd hope but it doesn't always happen.

It is that sort of in between level I am interested in now - better fights more consistently.

Christian Hammer is no mug, gave a decent account of himself against the best fighter in the division. Ryder and Galahad are good fighters. Pretty good undercard for a terrestrial network for sure.

If they were charging about £12.95 less for the main event, I would consider watching that too.

Hammer beat Teper, so this could be some sort of redemption for Price. It's a must win for him going forward.

I really like the Price/Hammer matchup. Hammer has a couple decent wins on his resume & has experience against good opposition. This is a huge fight for Price. He beats all the C level guys but the 2 guys he faced at the next level he got knocked out. Yes they both tested positive for drug tests but nobody will take him seriously until he scores a good win at the B level. Hammer is a Derric Rossy type gatekeeper/fringe contender. A win over him will put him in another big fight. A loss will relegate him to journeyman status & I doubt he sticks around the sport as an opponent but you never know. He has the new trainer & put on 30lbs of muscle so we will see if that helps him take punches better. That was the new regimes first change. They thought he was too skinny at 250. Now he is around 280. Hammer is tough opponent who has a win over the man who iced him in 2 rounds. This is a big fight for both but more so for Price because his career is on the line. He needs a win over a B level fringe guy to be taken seriously again...

Not a bad undercard to be fair. Better than Frank Warren, Hennessy or David Haye shows'. Now, is it PPV worthy? I wouldn't say so, the main event is a joke.

It's a pity they didn't move any of Price's loses to NC, knowing that 2 of them came against doped rivals.

Hammer v Price shapes up to be a good fight. As we saw with Whyte v Chisora, smart matchmaking by putting together two guys on a similar level, can create fireworks.

Boxing suffers from too much bum-bombing..so a 50/50 fight like this is refreshing.

Interesting, I thought Hammer was just a fringe contender until that win over Teper, now I'm wondering if he's better than I thought. I'm gonna go with Price by KO, I think this is his last chance and he takes advantage of it setting up a big money domestic fight for him

...while the undercard is blessed with a mouth-watering middleweight clash between Adam Etches (20-1, 17 KOs) and John Ryder (23-3, 12 KOs), which will be broadcast on ITV4.
So whose mouth is watering exactly
