It's how good you are a your best weight class that matters. Gamboa hurt him. I think Spence would knock Crawford out at 147 or 154. I think Spence is a better fighter than Crawford in every way. That's just your opinion. He established the lineage in each weight class he's been in. Which means he had to fight the best fighter in his weight class to do it.

Also if you don't think a stoppage win over an undefeated mini-tank on PEDs named Gamboa is a credible win then you've set your expectations way too high.

Terence will win titles in both 147 and 154 division in the coming 5 years. He handles DSG and pacman comfortably, the 147 champs he struggles with are one time and brook however if the weight is no problem his technical superiority will lead him to victory over one time. At 154 after the charlos and canelo move up to 160 there will be a vacuum that will encourage the 147 titlists to move up so he will just be in contention with the same fighters + lara.

That's what I'm talking about, it should mean that, but it doesn't. Not in today's era.

I think Gamboa is a quality fighter, but he's at least two weight classes smaller than Crawford naturally. It would be like giving Golovkin credit for beating Brook. Plus he's very inactive.
