Comments Thread For: Roach Might Train Chavez for Canelo, But Would Have Short Leash

Man I would hope Chavez is currently still in shape from his last fight and in the gym everyday sharpening his skills. He's neglected his abilities so badly over the years that a 12 week training camp won't be enough, especially if he's spending alot of that time focusing on weight.

He needs Roach and he needs Memo 24/7 starting now!

Short leash, a monitored ankle bracelet, and throw in a pad lock for the refrigerator and he'll be golden.

oh yeah cause freddie the joke coach roach is going to make such a difference isnt he. Not being harsh, but the man cant even think straight now, has serious health issues. Hows he meant to be able to plan tactics for a fighter?

Forget it then, no point having short term type of trainer If you're gonna be fighting Canelo you need someone there 24/7 to prepare you for this maybe Virgil Hunter would welcome Chavez Jr with open arms but not sure he'd be a good fit...
Robert Garcia could be a good match for him (language, understanding of his fight style) afterall he did wonders for Maidana.

Wild Card is a tough gym, Chavez is too much of a bum to hang.
