Comments Thread For: Carl Frampton Aims To Get World Title at Super Featherweight

WBA featherweight champion Carl Frampton (23-0, 14 KOs) is hoping to eventually move up in weight to pursue a third divisional title. Frampton moved up to featherweight last year and captured the WBA belt with a close, hard-fought twelve round decision over Leo Santa Cruz at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

I will be interested to see how many of these elite featherweights move up weight during this year or after.

I think Santa Cruz, Russell, and Frampton will move up weight. Especially if they win a unification match.

Frampton is talented, no doubt, but too small. Lomachenko does him fairly clearly. Doesn't mean he can't pick up a belt from one of the orgs - there's always one or two fighters out there holding onto belts way beyond their capability should suggest.

I could see Frampton beating the winner of Pedraza vs. Davis.

130 is tougher than 126. I doubt any of them move up in weight this year.

Agreed. I think he might be too small for 130.

                  The Jackal beats LSC again.
but at 130 I think it's a step too far. He is skilled enough to beat any man at the weight and yes, I include Loma but he doesn't have the size. He is about 4 inches shorter than the likes of Loma and that's just not good enough.

                    I'll take that bet.
