Pointless rematch as the 1st fight wasn't exciting. Cotto fought off the back foot due to the size difference and Canelo wasn't good enough to hurt the older smaller fighter. Regardless, it's a fact that Canelo gets overly generous scorecards in his favor. In 5 of his last 8 fights there has been at least 1 scorecard that is so off, it seems corrupt.

Exactly! He had many times to KO Cotto but out of respect and probably EASY future $$$$ didn't. I love Cotto but he's too small for CanYellow. Fight Pac again IMO but Pac WON'T unless he get's a CW with Cotto.

Canelo was way more effective. He's was landing combinations while you were struggling to land anything off your jab.

It looks like Canelo is finally moving up weight. I see no way he moves down for another catch weight fight with you.

Move on. Fight one of the Charlos, Lara, Bradley, Marquez, or Khan and finish your hall of fame career on a high note.
I would LOVE to see Cotto and Bradley!!!! Even Khan or JMM

        Damn good picks bro...

This was one of the weirdest fights I ever watched. I don't think those scorecards were off, but at the same time it was a fairly close fight.

I had canelo winning a lot of very close rounds.....like 9 or 10...there wasn't a whole lot going on in terms of action, but in terms of what did happen, canelo was just a little better in these rounds.

When some of Mexicos biggest trainers and fighters said a Puerto Rican won, I'd say that holds weight. It was a competitive fight even though canelhoe was much bigger.what is ridiculous is the pre-filled out scorecards that are turned in for him..see lara..cotto..trout..Mayweather...

                Those score cards were atrocious.

good fight. i thought cotto won. they gave alvared every close round. that's why the score cards added up to the cotto loss. (TMT)

And I don't think he ever said anything about the trout fight.

I totally agree with the comment above, except the marked grammatical error which I attempted to correct in caps, and the disparaging childish comments about Cotto himself and his fans, which I didn't include as a quote.

How can someone (Cotto and seemingly senile Roach) claim they won a fight when their opponent, Canelo,
CONNECTED ALL THE SIGNIFICANT POWERFUL PUNCHES
                      CONNECTED MORE PUNCHES TOTAL
CONNECTED AT A HIGHER PERCENTAGE RATE
WAS THE ONE WITH RING GENERALSHIP (Cotto was running for his life the whole fight, connecting/missing very weak punches, never realy engaging because he knew if he would, he would get immediately KO'd).

Sadly, many Mexican commentators are so jealous of Canelo's success that they are capable of lying in order to dismiss his success. Also, many of those commentators are actually incompetent and say idiotic things on a frequent basis.
