Canelo vs Chavez Jr. - PPV # predictions

Hot damn, Cinco De Mayo or Sept. These are gold mine dates for the Mexican fanbase given these two house name brands.

I say 1.5 million PPV! Hot damn Chavez Jr. is 5x more battle tested than Angulo or Kirkland combined as this kat went 9 rounds with top 5 Fonfara at LHW at the time.

Mexican based boxing doing great for the sport, and Hearn, Warren, Arum, King can all but acknowledge the money generated for this bout.

I think Sanchez and Loeffler will jizz over this bout too, front row, while Lil'G waves his banner, ''Mexican Style, no concessions nor 15million ala 160 max!''

I'd guess between 500 and 750k. Jr isn't quite the box office draw some have depicted him to be...yet. I would certainly buy this though!

Cinco de mayo weekend, two popular mexican fighters, if Pacquiao fights a nobody in April I can see this fight being the first Major boxing event of 2017. 500k is about what I think.

People forget Mexicans come 200 deep to watch , they arnt individually buying the ppv and they also don't get as patriotic when they fight their own, the ppv will do around 300k tops.

They will market the hell out of the rivalry between these 2. They have been taking shots at each other for years, not to mention the ODL/Chavez Sr. angle. When Oscar was still active Chavez Sr. said if he didn't fight his son then he was a coward and how it was only right after Sr. fought Oscar and built up his name all those years ago. Don't think its a 1 million seller, don't know if any PPV is anymore, but it will do solid numbers. I say between 700-850k buys.

the way they're promoting this it's like the all-Mexican version of Mayweather/Pacquiao. . if Chavez wasn't such an undisciplined irrelevant C level fighter I would believe in the hype. Chavez Jr is still riding the wave of his father's accomplishments. . il catch this on a stream.

I'd say anywhere from 300k-900k. I know that's a big gap, but it depends on how much the casual Latino fans buy it

^^^This. Before Chavez became inactive I always felt this was the biggest fight in boxing not involving May or Pac.
