The WBC is a joke they create and give away belts left and right.. I wouldn't be surprised if I found one on the Shelf in Goodwill

biased fanboy? you can storm as many threads as you like on this forum. I've always been open to trolling a Chavez Jr. vs Alvarez bout for the sake of a Mexican fan base. What's the point of backlashing ''Japanese'' boxing or UK boxing because it doesn't benefit American based boxing revenues? That doesn't make any sense nor would such a motive thought benefit boxing in general. Fact of the matter is the subtext, you said ''fanboy.'' Only fanboyism regarding boxing is you being non content with such a bout.

How in the **** does Chavez Jr. vs Alvarez negatively affect boxing? Your dumbass has no idea how much money it generates, but actually you do...it just doesn't benefit your boxing ideology. It's better to think objectively, like Golovkin vs Brook, as industry tried their best to justify it along with the soft minds justifying that propaganda as well.

Nationalistic fan boys are going to eat this fight up.

Boxing fan first could careless about this fight. Chavez will be coming into the weigh in as a dead man, it's dangerous for him to get down to 165 just to sell his soul to the biggest diva in the game.

Canelo is straight puto, no excuse to defend this guy anymore. The guy only fights someone when he has all the advantages, only reason team Canelo and golden boy are making this fight is because they know Chavez has nothing left and is desperate.

Put the Poms Poms down and call it what it is.... A circus on cinco de Mayo.

Boxing sanctioning bodies...it's not enough that having multiple bodies recognize different champions at every weight class, now the bodies themselves have to have multiple champions.

Oh, this would absolutely be a great fight. It has all the potential to be a fight of the year type bout. I don't think anyone is suggesting it wouldn't be fun to watch. The problem people have is WBC basically stating out right, even though neither man is a WBC champion, they want to create a new belt just so they can have their name attached to this.

Is the IBO a final four council? Whatever this WBC Tequila belt is who cares. It's from a bona-fide council.
