I do concede the fact that Juarez is a good fighter and his name on the list of Barrera's victims in his illustrous career is appealing nonetheless this is case of "Little to gain everything to lose" situation.I don't think Barrera nor his handlers, GBP(who by the way are good businessman with regard to the opponents they chose for their fighters), wouldn't have picked Juarez if Barrera should lose big time. There is somethin in Juarez which they feel Barrera will capitalize on come fight night.

Barrera is still the Barrera. Not a lot of fighters had stood up to him toe to toe and managed to beat him.Even the great MORALES never did dominate him in any of their fights.Only Pac managed to erase him all through out the fight but hey, Pac is one hell of a fighter himself. As far as the Jones fight, I believe it was to early in his career and totality of his character and wellness as a fighter was yet to be defined at that time. Point is, FIFTY(50) plus fights(or battles) to his credit and not yet a damaged good. That in itself tells a lot about a fighter.

I'll root for Barrera, not because he is too good for Juarez nor is Juarez any lesser than Barrera but because Barrera will be too proud to go down that easily to someone like Juarez and that Golden Boy Promotions wouldn't hastily and carelessly pick a guy to beat their own guy in the eve of his much awaited multi million dolar rematch (and perhaps his biggest paycheck) with Pac. That is absolutely bad for business you know.

you are forgetting that golden boy promotions also seen somthing in pacquiao that they could bet and we all know what happened.

now, i can see what it is that they think they can capitalize with rocky but im not going to point it out. but, as i said he has worked on his flaws as has barrera on his flaws.

i never have said this will be easy for either fighter, i expect this fight to be a war, of course barrera still has a lot left, but to me, its not the barrera of old, but this is my opinion. i can honestly say that ricardo rocky juarez will defeat marco antonio barrera.

this will be a war and im sure that rocky expects nothing less and barrera well, i think barrera is looking for a challenge and i think he feels rocky is the way to go, if he can't get pacquiao yet, then he will take on the next dangerous fighter that is not booked. and its barreras mistake for taking this fight, and a great oppertunity for rocky juarez.
