Comments Thread For: Carl Frampton Felt Great' At 126; Knows He Hurt Leo Santa Cruz

Carl Frampton felt a dramatic difference in his body during his first featherweight fight in more than five years. Frampton was less energetic and weaker when he had to struggle to make the 122-pound limit, but he felt fresh and strong during his 12-round, majority-decision victory over Leo Santa Cruz five months ago. The unbeaten WBA world featherweight champion, who's training for their January 28 rematch, doesn't think he would've been able to fend off the relentless Santa Cruz if the weight limit for their July 30 fight was 122 pounds, rather than the featherweight maximum of 126.

I like how he is complimentary and respectful of Leo for his strengths while still being confident of himself at the same time.

Frampton's a troll. Keith Idec just fictionalizing all outta context. Many boxers smile when they get hit, and Frampton vs Cruz was a really good fight. In fact, from all the replays, Cruz hit Frampton with way more punishing shots. This is the Frampton that said ''hed love to fight Rigo,'' and said he was ''the only Super Bantam that could beat him....'' then after Rigo breaks ****ens' jaw pre Cruz vs Frampton he and DiBella get all shook and they LITERALLY say there's no reason to fight Rigo....

if you're going to be consistent about fighting Rigo, roll with one excuse...it's not Rigo made ''sense'' of a fighter before he busted ****en's jaw, so we all know there's is a bit of foolishness with Roc vs PBC stars.

HOWEVER, I'm looking forward to Cruz vs Frampton II. If it's even better than the first one, it's going to be a legendary trilogy imo. Both fought well.

I rewatched the first fight and it was a really close.
I thought it was close the first time I watched it, but closer this last time I watched it.
I wouldn't even be mad if people thought LSC won.
People are overrating Frampton a little for the first fight.

They all feel great at 126, because they know Rigondeaux isn't there.
