Does Keith Thurman telegraph his punches too much?

Whenever I see Thurman, I always see that right hand loading up from a mile away. Whenver he charges in and tries to counter back with the left hook, after the right hand all over again, which some elite fighters would see in a mile away (Pac, Bradley Floyd) would that flaw be a huge factor on the DSG fight?

That's one of the worse thing about him, if he ever beats Garcia then I would be shocked. I think Brook beats him too, you need someone that doesn't rush or smother their own work to beat or take advantage of Thurman flaws, I didn't think Porter had those tools.

Brook would have beaten Thurman. Brook had an excellent upper body movement and fights at long range with an excellent 1-2 set up. But with that right eye broken I'm unsure.

Porter and Thurman are overrated, not elite in my book.

Yep. Not only that he swings his punches in too wide.

sure he does but he also has a great chin to balance things out.. this Garcia fight is tough to pick. same as the Porter bout.. might be another classic war.

I don't think that Thurman is as good as people says, he doesn't have killer instinct, great speed or power and also doesn't have great footwork or defense, but i like his character and i hope he beats the hell out of Danny who also telegraphs his punches a lot, even Morales made fun of that.
The thing is, that 147 isn't as good as people says, there isn't an elite talent there yet, maybe Spence, but he is so unproven, hopefully we might see new talent this year coming up.

The first three rounds in the Morales-Garcia I fight was just embarrassing. Morales, a shot one just made fun of him and wasn't even trying.

People holding onto the glory days but it's been a long time since 147lb produced legit P4P fighters.

Without Pacquiao and Floyd to add the star power it's really a missable division.

Maybe Errol Spence can bring the division back to its glory days.

Yes he does but sometimes its on purpose, hes a control freak when it comes to controlling range he has good accuracy meeting his goals in scoring and it gives him enough room to escape/evade the return ; notice hes not one to keep it toe-to-toe for very long unless hes pressed -- he likes to be the leading man keeping you off rythm changing levels to open you up and at the same time it makes him more elusive, but sometimes that habit is done at close range and there is where hes been caught and hurt.
