Toughest man or toughest boxer?

Toughest fighter may have been James Braddock. Dude took his aging body and learned to use his other hand to punch because he couldnt throw the right due to damage and chronic arthritis.

Dude had to feed his family so found a way to win and beat a guy who everyone thought would not just beat him but possibly damage him (Max Bauer). Thats tough to me. I have arthritis and know what its like to fight through it. At the time braddock fought EVEN if guys were not great? they were tough and did not go down easily.

I have been in times when I took the family to Mcdonalds and had to skip a meal so my kids and wife could get a dollar burger. You have to lie to your wife... Doing well now but if you been through it it makes you appreciate how hard it is to do without for the sake of another.

The toughest men are men who apply themselves to what they know is right and takes self sacrifice. Mae Tse Tung smoked two packs of camel unfiltered cigarettes a day, lived to be a tough son of a batch into his nineties and marched the equivalent of new york to san francisco x3 during the great march....don't agree with his ideology but thats tough!

Tough is hiding a *** in your basement knowing that if you get caught your family will be killed and you, tortured, thats tough. Athletes are willful and often tough guys, but they are hardly the toughest men alive!

You couldn't discourage Carl Froch and you couldn't KO him. The meanest combination I ever seen landed, got landed on his face by GG in their first fight. I think it was round 5 or 6. 9 punches completely perfect hits.
