Comments Thread For: Jezreel Corrales is Open To a Vasyl Lomachenko Unification

Jezreel Corrales of Panama is not ruling out the possibility of a unification with Vasyl Lomachenco of Ukraine, provided there is an interesting monetary offer. Corrales (21-1-8 KOs) is currently the World Boxing Association (WBA) super featherweight champion, while Lomachenko (7-1, 5 KOs) is the World Boxing Organization (WBO) super featherweight world champion.

If loma cant get salido this is one fight i definitely would like to see. Continued tough match ups for loma in the lead up to a potential mikey or tbud fight is what boxing needs.

A few days ago the same attorney said they weren't thinking of Lomachenko next, but now they'll fight for an "interesting" offer.

Well, hopefully they can make something happen for March.
It's not like Corrales is going to get a better offer elsewhere now that Uchiyama is out of the picture.

If Salido doesn't take the offer then Corrales is the best choice.

I'm sure he'll get offers to fight in Japan.

There really isn't any interesting fights at 130 in Japan outside of Uchiyama and Miura. That doesn't mean he won't get offered anything and he may accept just to make some extra money.
That HBO opportunity is not going to be here forever though.
So they better think about it.

Loma's right where he needs to be, there are lots of good fights for him at junior lightweight/130. Jumping up weight classes too fast is risky, we saw what happened to Brook when he jumped up 2 divisions.
