I never said that it wouldn't be a competitive match up, I just said that I personally wouldn't spend my money to watch 2 past their prime inactive fighters face off. If you wanna spend the money you've earned selling mangos on the highway to see this fight then that's fine. I've been to all of cottos fights at msg before he was even a big name, went for trinidad fights, for Hopkins fights, for roy Jones fights, and have gone to local boxing cards as well. However, at this point, if I'm gonna head to a fight, it'd have to be something more appealing (maybe Garcia vs Thurman) than to watch a fight like cotto vs Kirkland when neither seems to have made boxing a priority for over a year.

my point exactly. Cotto draws strictly on the east coast, Ny, Orlando etc. Making this ppv and putting it in Texas is a terrible business move.
