Comments Thread For: Fans' Feedback Helped Santa Cruz Overcome Frampton Defeat

Leo Santa Cruz took his first professional defeat hard. The proud Mexican-American boxer felt as though he let down his fans and family by losing a majority decision to Carl Frampton on July 30 in Brooklyn, New York. The Southern California fighter didn't even want to see people in the immediate aftermath of the fight that cost him the WBA world featherweight title.

dog he beat the **** out of frampton...frampton was clueless on how to cut distance without tasting the jab..frampton was consistently having to punch through a guard and abandoned body work unless leo beat his body up first..

showtime called a horrible fight..left hooks that hit the guard first then clip the face cannot compete with leo landing clean shots bc of frampton's technique being horrible

Frampton will look even better in this one. Leo will bring his volume punching game as usual but Carl is in a different league skill-wise, nearly the complete fighter.

Frampton clearly won that fight. It was a hard fought W , but. W nonetheless. Rematches usually dair better for the victor.

man go look at the cards and tell me he won round 4 lol he got beat the hell up in the last minute of round 4...
he didnt even clearly win the round tht he hurt leo in (round 2)

i had it 3-2 leo after five..leo won round with more activity and effective shots...round 2 is edged to leo comfortably until the huge shot and then leo still comes back and puts hard shots on him..i give it to frampton just bc the wobble dance leo did...round 3 leo jab fest frampton is caugth out of position and in range too much..only lands three power shots late in the round and leo had landed 10 jabs and power shots..the judges swept that round..then tied round 4 which ws clear as fuggind ay

showtime did a horrible job calling that fight..all those blocked hooks by frampton that had to hit a guard first just to land on a head are not better shot than a stiff jab he ate to throw the shot

go watch his knockdown vs gonzalez it is the same mistake he was mking..meaning leo saw it and time him up and outboxed him...YALL JUST BLIND

IMO this fight is similar to The Ward kovalev fight.. either fighter could have possibly won, but neither should have won clearly.... and both fights should have been draw or a split decision to either fighter..

Frampton won that fight man. Frampton landed the better/harder/cleaner shots by far. That high volume/no power offense is just horrible & predictable. Frampton should win easier this time around which is sad because Leo has all the physical advantages but doesnt use the.
