Just don't smoke between rounds, or a few hours before training lol. Simple.

I wouldn't encourage it - and I'd recommend quitting just because - but testament from a smoker who has boxed amateur before, I had no issues.

How would you know if it affects your stamina or not if you have always done it and you dont have anything to compare it to?

I didn't have a "career," per se - just fought about 8 times over a 3 year period.

But yes I smoked all during that time.

About third a pack to half a pack a day. Camel Lights.

I could run and do everything just fine. Coughed sometimes a little after exercising. But that's about it.

Well based on everyone I was training with, I kept up, or surpassed.

Could run a mile in under six-minutes?

Maybe it does. I never had a problem, doe..

Like I said I'd discourage anyone from doing it. But I'm also not gonna lie and say it effected me.

Well you're young enough to give up smoking and for your lungs to be as healthy as a person who's never smoked.

Amateur here. I'll smoke some weed once a blue moon when I'm not training for anything, but it does feel like my stamina takes a small hit especially if I do roadwork after.

I think the guys in the 1900's did it all the time. You read stores about "TwO-bit Jeeves had a belt of whiskey and two puffs of a cigarette while resting between rounds against Iron Joe Johnson. Of course the fights were like 100 rounds so they thought the whiskey and smokes gave them vigor. LOL.
