It would be a good fight for Davis. Smith is pretty tough but falls just short of world class i think. Davis will beat him but it's not a bad first defence really for a guy with not that many fights, even though Pedraza beat Smith.

Davis needs to work on working his way in range, not many guys are going to make it easy on him like Pedraza did just giving up their range. He does seem to be a killer body puncher though, so that will aid him a lot against taller guys.
