Also, Japan has started to lose some of its most well known champions. The Kameda brothers have all lost their titles, Uchiyama has lost and is about to retire, Miura lost his titles.
That sucks man. People were really excited about Japanese boxing a few years back as I said earlier.

    Ty for the info.

I remember when it was booming people on here who are familiar with Japanese culture said it could just be a fad and not the start of it really taking off over there. Be a shame if it is. Really like what they bring to the sport, great styles, fearless in their matchmaking.

But Yamanaka still solid and tanaka won his title.

Plus Daigo Higa looks awesome in the 112 pounds division.

I agree. I don't think its a huge cause, but it just coincides with a fall in casual interest with the sport. Its kinda sad, especially to me when I have some sort of personal attachment to Japanese boxing.

The only place where boxing is really on a high right now is the UK. It has coincided with a huge boom in casual ******** and 'lad culture'. Matchroom have been in the business for decades - they know what they are doing.
