what happens when someone is ready for amateur boxing?

so can any amateur boxers or boxers tell me what happens when you are ready to become a boxer the reason im asking this is because i want to become an amateur boxer and im currently training at a boxing club and the thing is i wear glasses and my vision isn't great so what happens when a guy has been told by his trainer that he is ready to become a boxer what is the procedure.

When it comes to glasses, unless you have a very serious vision problem, there shouldn't be most trouble.
If in your gym there is already a boxing team sanctioned by your country (USA Boxing, GB boxing, etc...), your trainer only needs to get you a record book and take you to some amateur show to get you fights if he thinks that you are ready.
