        Great work!

People have forgotten just how good Naz was. Sadly by the time he fought Barrera he was out of love with boxing, had left behind the basics and those people who had taken him to the top.

Naz at just 21 years of age beat a long time, durable and very good champion...actually he humiliated him in front of a home crowd. It was pure dominance and he followed suit with every other champion in the division. It's just sad that he never liked the sport enough to keep going into his late 20s and early 30s.

Even then, in a span of 5 brutal years, Naz became one of the very best featherweights of all time and p4p, from 95-98, Naz would be a handful for just about every p4p fighter of the decade. He would probably beat some of them too. This really was the case of enjoying him while you could.

Speed, power and an odd style can go a long way, but only if you are committed both mentally and physically. If not, you gonna get MAB'ed eventually.

Exactly. Plus by 99 Naz had forsaken his jab and footwork and was relying completely on his power. That works against other fighters but not one like Barrera.

Still, having said that, MAB v Naz was nowhere near as lop sided as people on here make it out to be. 112-115 was the right score for it.

              Great analysis as always.

Hamed could look very good against a certain level of opponent. No doubt about that.

Imagine a 21 year old doing that to a champ in his back yard nowadays?

If he was around now he'd be twice the superstar McGregor is.

Love him or hate him it would be great for the sport of Boxing if another like him came around in this era, he was entertainment in it's purest form.
