Finally a good discussion thread kid!

Honestly, if AJ gets KOd in a one sided fight, it would be a long road back to him, especially to be taken seriously. I guess Hearn would steer him down the WBO route or where ever the easiest bum title is but we can say good bye to all the AJ hype.

The Bellew fight doesn't matter because everyone knows he is going to lose and he can go back to cruiser and milk his belt there.

If Khan beats Brook, Khan regains his spot as THE guy in British boxing, puts himself in place for another big money event fight and Brook...well he wouldn't be too bad off. He would have lost to an established name and if Hearn guides him right he could be in for a Porter rematch, building up to a world title clash against someone else or even a Khan rematch.

It would be a blow, but Matchroom are invested in other sports. The three fights mentioned are the biggest possible payday for each fighter, except maybe Joshua (Wilder, Fury so I don't think it's the end of the world for Matchroom, they still have a strong stable

Na Matchroom would be just fine.

They have a huge stable with tons of talent, ability and know-how. Joshua would return, he's still young and improving, he has plenty of potential fights in the future that'd be big win or lose his next. Bellew goes back to down to CW and still has his title. Brook uses the weight cut to 147lb was too hard this time excuse and moves to 154 and challenges guys there.

Matchroom have done a great job to be honest. Frank Warren is going to have a BIG 2017 but his stable is horrific in comparison right now. He needs to sign the likes of Rigo and co to deals and get them on. At least hardcore fans will watch, promote it online which is somewhere they just don't have a presence.

it would survive. His matchroom stable is pretty deep and he has the monopoly on sky sports, if you are a british fighter and you want widescale exposure you have to sign with hearn. Joshua losing would be a huge blow though financially

yeah agreed. joshua loss would be disastrous, brook losing wouldnt be ideal but nowhere near as bad. Tbh hearn would probably just try and sign khan up if he beat brook

Company will run business as usual. A big company doesnt revolve around few fighters.

As long As the public keeps buying mismatches like AJ-Molina, Brook-Bizier, Bellew-Flores matchroom will do just fine..
Might not do great numbers against int'l fighters but they hype up domestic fights like its Ali-Frazier, so they will still do good bidness..

Yeah Haye will probably win by KO, but Brook will beat Khan I believe - But it could be a a very close fight if Khan doesn't get himself KO'd.

Joshua beats Klit, probably by KO. I simply can't see the old slow robot make Joshua fight his fight. I think after 4 rounds, Joshua will unload, making it much rougher for Klit than Fury did. I believe he'll KO him.

Matchroom have 5 or 6 other boxing world champions (and some excellent prospects like Callum Smith and Ryan Burnett), plus they have a monopoly on professional darts, snooker, pool, ten pin bowling and angling. Few other sports as well. It's a huge sporting empire.

Khan can't be signed up that easy though. He has his own promotional company, I think Haymon was managing him at one time and GBP have some sort of stake too. Whatever the contract, Khan has been able to fight across networks against whoever he wishes to fight. Signing with Hearn would be a step back for him unless Hearn managed to pull out the biggest signing fee in British boxing history.
