All of the main events were mismatches on paper - Deontay Wilder vs. Artur Szpilka, Danny Garcia vs. Robert Guerrero and the rematch between Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal - though at least Wilder-Szpilka and Garcia-Guerrero entertained before reaching their expected conclusions...

The shows on January 14 and January 28 are going to be awesome.

It's a shame that HBO and Showtime are televising competing cards on the 28. Hopefully Frampton vs Santa Cruz II and Mikey Garcia vs Dejan Zlaticanin don't suffer in the ratings, those matchups deserve to have as many eyeballs as possible on them.

I am glad you noticed.....The PBC brand has suffered from the predictable matchups between The Cowards vs the Salkas (sacrificial lambs) or deontayduckus wilderquackus vs tba.....or chickenson vs tba ....or all the 154lbs holding hands and singing Kumbaya...no need to go on.....PBC is their own worst enemy with all their carefully and selected mismatches...

This is a what have you done for me lately world and PBC hasn't done anything for me and apparently for the majority of the boxing fans or PBC wouldn't be running in the red...the only boxing fans that give PBC a pass are the haymonites.....PBC still has a chance to redeem themselves but it consists of churning their roster by pitting their top fighters against each other.....you know some in house fighting ala Bob Arum eg. Loma vs walters....danny "Tropical Mexican " garcia vs Thurman is a good fight and a good beginning and a step in the right direction....definitely need to churn the 154 division and try to unify that division but instead the Protecting Boxing Cowards are holding hands and singing Kumbaya at 154 ..time will tell
