oh, the facts are on my side alright..... that is why you chose to completely ignore them, and focus on "name-calling"

If my positions were "silly," you'd be able to counter them, but you can't.
yes I can, Golovkin's " record "..... will simply be fake
..... and, the worst part is..... not only will that " record " be fake, it will have very little substance..... with Gennady's best wins being Jacobs/Murray
Originally posted by original zero View PostIf Golovkin beats Jacobs, the interim title will still exist. You have no idea what you're talking about.
not according to the WBA
the WBA themselves have admitted that it is ridiculous having multiple champions per division..... and they have promised to merge the titles as they become won/vacant
the WBA " interim " title (or whatever rubbish "title" Jacobs owns)..... will simply cease to exist following that fight..... which is great because it should never have existed in the first place
a real boxing fan would not compare Golovkin's "record" with Hopkins "record"..... just saying

..... being a little dishonest aren't you ?
hence " top middleweight "
I said that Golovkin could have fought MUCH better opponents, but he CHOSE not to.....
Mr " anyone from 154-168 " totally refused to negotiate on the weight with little old 153lb Cotto..... who was - and likely still is - his best possible payday..... which is fkn bizarre
actually, that tells us the WHOLE story...... Golovkin is totally full-of-shht, because if he was ever going to fight below 160 it would have been against lil old 153lb Cotto
Mr " anyone from 154-168 " then totally refused to negotiate on the weight with Canelo, despite specifically promising to fight Canelo at 154..... now, "Mr Businessman" wants more money
now..... you Golovkin fans categorically insisted that Cotto/Canelo were middleweights..... despite the fact that they clearly were not...... so there are 2 "middleweights" for starters
he could have fought Ward, but he CHOSE not to
he could have fought Lara, but he CHOSE not to
he should have fought Mora back in 2012 when that fight was first mentioned...... but no, Team Golovkin did exactly the same thing they did to Ward/Lara..... they instantly dismissed that fight and then furnished a bunch of silly excuses.....
the only reason why someone uses a bunch of silly excuses, is because they don't have 1 genuine reason..... an ex-champ who has clearly faded, is the PERFECT opponent for an up-and-comer who is trying to establish himself..... and boxing has always worked that way
they wouldn't risk fighting a faded Mora because he is a known mover/spoiler who is notoriously difficult to look good against..... which actually tells more of a story than avoiding Cotto
FACT: every fighter EVER is 100% responsible, and therefore accountable, for their resume..... come on man, stop making weak excuses for a grown man who doesn't even know that you exist

If GGG breaks Hopkins' record, GGG's best win will be Canelo.
N'Dam will still be interim champion regardless of who wins between GGG & Jacobs. Again, you have no idea what you're talking about.
The title that will cease to exist after 3/18 is GGG's super title.
GGG has the top 3 belts in his division. He's willing to take on all comers. He's facing the #1 contender in his next fight and trying to get Canelo in the ring and trying to get the WBO champion in the ring.
There is no middleweight he is ducking.
Your complaint is that he isn't fighting in other weight classes. Your complaint is ridiculous. He makes 160 easily and holds the top 3 titles at 160. Why should he leave the division he performs best at? Especially when staying there forces Canelo to face him?

The fights are one sided because GGG is an incredible talent. The only WBC/WBA/IBF champion we've had IN ANY DIVISION in *over ten years!!!* Enjoy his greatness while it lasts.
Why should he let Canelo off the hook? As long as GGG comfortably makes weight, he should break Hopkins' record, destroy Canelo, and add the WBO title if/when possible.
If you only like 50/50 fights, does that mean Klitschko should have tied a hand behind his back during his dominant reign? Or fought a gorilla?
Let Canelo off the hook ? How old is the kid, if he faces GGG his career going forward will be as promising as the likes of Murray, Geale and Lemiuex's are and have been since GGG destroyed them. Canelo is going to be around another ten year, can the same be said if GGG ? I don't see him here beyond three years.
Canelo is the future of the sport, he's the biggest ppv star right now he faces GGG he's dumped on the scrap heap just as Chavez Jr. was.
Klitschko fought the best, mandatories and unifications. Andre Ward and Krusher fought each other, the best facing the best, Ward moved up to avhieve that, GGG could move up to face DeGale or Jack winner establishing himself the no.1 at 168 in a solitary fight, Andre Ward afterwards. GGG has been widely touted as hitting as hard as light heavies, harder ! Ward is barely the biggest LH as seen against Krusher.
You keep repeating Klitschko should have tied a hand behind his back yet he did not have the option of clearing out the next weight class, Ward just fought the no.1 in the LH division and established himself the new no.1 in one fight widely bring accepted as a remarkable achievement, what's to stop GGG doing that at 168 then a CW against the boogeyman ? It's obvious he's hanging around for the Canelo pay day, will I suffer defences against guys like Jacobs, Saunders and Heiland ? I'll leave that to you, I've already seen him beat more dangerous opposition. Don't expect genuine boxing fans to stand up and claim victories over those guys is anything special especially when you're considered a special talent and are being touted to make an impact at light heavy should he in fact ever fight there.
Why would you want to see Canelo destroyed if you're already convinced he destroys him ? What about him achieving something truly remarkable as opposed to just being given a kings fortune and retiring with a record of dispatching over matched opponents.

Ward's fighting style is too boring to watch (just like Lara) and probably not very attractive for a GGG-Ward fight. GGG vs Charlo/Andrade/Zurdo would probably be more attractive. I don't see GGG-Canelita happening before 2018, if ever.

"Klitschko fought the best, mandatories and unifications."
that's exactly what GGG is doing. saying GGG shouldn't fight at his natural weight is like saying klitschko should have quit boxing and gone to UFC because his boxing matches weren't competitive enough. it's ridiculous.
should the golden state warriors have to play 4 vs 5 because their games aren't competitive enough?
