Canelo will beat Golovkin

when they fight, Golovkin will have no advantage

he will be fighting a middleweight, not a 155'lber

but I still think it is unlikely the fight will happen in 2017

Team Golovkin are too likely to play hardball, and Canelo simply has too many options for that to work..... if K2 approach that fight like they are wanting to cash-out (and that looks to be the case so far), then they will likely have to wait..... it is all about timing, and Team Golovkin do not make concessions in order to make fights.

If beating Canelo was even remotely close to being as easy as Golovkin's fanbase suggest, they would have negotiated with Canelo on the weight months ago..... like they promised for YEARS

The thing that a lot of people don't catch is the matchmaking by Goldenboy. Canelo looks absolutely fantastic against guys that are straight forward boxers and come to him. They drug their feet like hell to match him up with Trout, Lara, and refused to match him against Andrade. They picked Smith but refused to fight Andrade, who had the belt before and was available. He fought Kirkland instead of Andrade 2 yrs ago, and Kirkland had to lose 40 lbs in 5 or 6 weeks.
Canelo got shut-out against an aging welterweight, Floyd.
Canelo vs GGG will be interesting, because GGG has a style that Canelo looks good against, but is a great boxer, and near the end of his career.

The Trout fight was killed when Trout lost his HEART and decided he would rather survive the fight then try and WIN it! Every fighter out there WISHES he knew the score late in the rounds. This morons saying Canelo lost to Lara are just that Moron haters....Lara won 3 Rounds first three that is after that Lara did jack squat running and not trowing at all with canelo chasing after him putting all the work .... stats don't lie jabs Lara 107- 70% connected (and that mainly was in those 3 rounds cause after that he stop any offencive) Canelo 92-43% Power punches. Power punches Lara trow 98 punches Canelo 92 but according to compu box canelo conected 70% compared to Laras 30%. yes is was a close fight and a dificult one to score but comparing stats Power punches are more effective than jabs. A boring fight aver all but Canelo won fair and square.

I thought Lara deserved the win, but can only blame himself for pissing the judges off by running too much.
Lara out-landed Canelo, made him look foolish at times, and landed the most meaningful shots. Many of Canelo's bodyshots were blocked, and most of the few head shots missed.
The Trout fight was close, but I felt Canelo deserved the decision. The open scoring had a lot to do with Trout's style/gameplan, knowing he was nearly getting shut-out looking at the phony scores. He would have fought differently if not the open scoring bs, besides the venue it was at I think.

yes lara out landed Canelo for 3 rounds but after that give me any other round that you sincerely and honestly would give it to Lara clearly, there was nothing, Zero Offence from Lara after the 3rd round with Canelo chasing and hitting lara arms, back and shoulders mostly but at least putting in the effort. Lara on the other hand after he felt the combo of Canelo to the body completely abandoned his offence.
