Fonrara's chin isn't what I would consider solid. It's passable but the guy has been wobbled and dropped several times.

Joe Smith as a contender for FOTY is an absolute joke. I like the guy and believe he should be in contention for breakthrough fighter of the year but nowhere close to the fighter of the year.

But the wins just weren't that good, Fonfara is a decent fighter but never A class and Hopkins was 50+ years old and hadn't been in the ring for 2 years.

Think about this; if he wasn't a blue-collar looking guy with a name like "Joe Smith", he'd probably have people falling all over him. If he was Igor Russianovich from eastern EU, or Leroy Slick from Philly, he'd have a following. But, he's plain old Joe Smith, white guy from the east coast, so we kinda smile but don't take him seriously.
