Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: Haye Much Bigger, Much Stronger - Beats Tony Bellew

Former world champion Amir Khan believes Tony Bellew is making the same mistake that he did earlier this year - biting off more than he can chew against a much larger man. Khan, who was competing at welterweight, moved up by eight pounds to challenge Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at a catch-weight of 155-pounds for the WBC middleweight title. Khan started well, but was knocked out in brutal fashion when Canelo landed flush in the sixth round.

No, Haye is not much bigger. Bellow does the right thing: he moves up to face a small hw fighter. Big cruiser weight against small hw, and they are the same size.

Haye's grown into HW, Bellend's bulking up. It's not the same.

Bullshkit fight but can't really blame haye this time . Bellew was calling him all sorts to get the fight made

Bellew doesn't stand a chance against haye .

As much as I would love bellew to take Hayes head off

Wasn˙t Haye cruiserweight before he moved up? He is not natural hw.

If Hayes a natural cruiser than Tony is a natural light heavyweight. But Bellew wasn't even cut at 175 and Haye actually carries as much actual muscle as most of the heavies. There's probably a good 30lb of lean weight between them. Haye can punch, and Bellew never had a great chin at lightheavy.Really bad mismatch but at least Tony gets a good payday.
