Ortiz only got 500 K to fight Wilder in a title fight , far worse then a prospect getting 11 K .

It’s low when you consider lots of expenses will have come out of that, trainers cut, Medicals etc etc, He probably cleared about 6 grand before tax.

Then again, He was not as well known before that fight as he become a bit later on and is really pretty much a glorified journeyman anyway, so I bet there’s not many journeymen making 9 grand in one night
