Marquez should check history and see what just happened to Hopkins, what happened to Chavez Sr. vs. De la Hoya (twice), De la Hoya vs. Pacquiao, Ali vs. Holmes, Louis vs. Marciano, and the list goes on...

BTW, except for Hopkins, all the other boxers were much younger than JMM is today. They all were 38 y/o or younger, when they were put to shame by a much younger opponent.

JMM is way too slow and weak now to face a top opponent like Cotto. Even in his prime, JMM would have battled to defeat Cotto. Now that he is way past his prime and has been out of boxing for years, just the thought of facing Cotto is utterly ridiculous. Even at 147 he would get KO'd for sure.

JMM should just retire and keep both his legacy and health intact. He has a wife and kids. It sounds real irresponsible, selfish and frankly ****** on his part, to even entertain the notion of trying to be back to boxing, not to mention vs. one of the top fighters today, who could do irreversible damage to him.
