Boxingscene at it again....you guys are just rubbish with these awards....I think you all go by popularity vote. Off the top of my head Ondongo won a world title @ 140 in Russia in devastating KO victory in around 44 seconds. You guys need to pay me.

Actually, yea, that was a pretty good one. I know there was another great upset this year but it's escaping me.

Now that I'm thinking about it, Mares should be in the running too. Nearly everyone counted him out, including some of us who were rooting for him. Granted, he's proven that he can perform at a high level. But, his win seemed to come as a real shocker.

To me Hopkins is a bigger upset he's odds to win were high and everyone expected him to go out with the w, even during the fight I felt Hopkins had figured him out by the 4th round and smith was just swinging wildly for that ko shot I thought Bernard would make him miss rest of the way, didn't expect anything that followed.

Indongo. That was an upset, but so was Smith Jr/Fonfara.

I was thinking the same. Smith Jr a legit up and coming fighter, albeit local in the NY area... vs a solid contender who had made a good account of himself vs Stevenson. Hardly journeymen.

Corrales and Indongo quick stoppages of Uchiyama and Troyanovsky respectively are bigger upsets in my opinion.

Uchi and Troya were both world champions, unbeaten knockout artists and fighting in their backyard whereas Fonfara had lost before and we knew his limitations.

Its always that way when you try to remember every fight you've watched especially when you watch it nearly weekly for an entire year been a few robberies that have stopped an upset happening that much I definitely know.

Akavov should have been one and it would have been a really good one to choose from.
