When Lomachenko kicked it into overdrive is when Walters started looking bad.
ring rust and stamina go hand and hand when u are fresh it's an easy game if u've done it..but when they combine to both start bothering and loma's starts pushing the pace (or any elite or active fighter for that atter) he is going to beat you down if u dont have at a good foot speed and handspeed advan to avoid a lot of wat he does with just natural gifts.

overdrive is not good for a lay off guys..ask yourself why was walters not walkin loma down? likely bc he couldnt push the pace himself lol he'd be too tired in the legs if he got front foot heavy
he only prepared 2 months..that is nothing but a fat camp

Interesting and we'll thought out point. I suppose that the version of Walters who had the draw with Sosa would have been more competitive but I just can't see him being able to deal with the angles and footwork of Lomachenko. That said, he probably would have kept trying and throwing more until the end of the fight.

when u step foward u take the angles away..i'll show you a link to a video on outside foot advan in that fight...angles really only pay dividends in the pocket..i couldnt believe walters just let the fight stay in the pocket until I realized that he likely didnt have the stamina to go forward.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qTSA2ViJzc&t=9s

Man oh man! I feel as though I just learned something. It's crazy how certain you can be about your perception of the way a fight is going until you slow it down and remove commentary and anything that could skew your opinion. I look forward to trying this myself for the next big fight. Many thanks bro!

HEY but dont get it twisted loma can fuggin fight..he's apocket fighter he beats anyone just about from the pocket, but you have flush him from the pocket like salido by way of rushing him or by way of stepping with a hard jab and taking the outside foot position.

but by no means am i saying loma cant fight..that would be dumb af

Lomachenko has achieve stuff done you have never done in your life: Two Gold Olympic Medals, become a champion in less than 4 fights, became a two division champion in less than 8 fights, currently ranked a top 10 p4p in less than 10 fights.

              What have you done Mikey?

On a note, what you are doing right now it's looking for him. You are begging loma to give you a shot.
Only problem with Loma career is he's not fighting at home , where you can see he fight in a BIG crowd...

Nah dude. It never occurred to me that you were saying that Loma couldn't fight. I wouldn't have responded to anyone who said that. I just didn't realize the reason that Walters looked so lost was that he didn't have the stamina to force him out of the pocket. The video shows that even when he had the outside foot position and Lomachenko's hands were covering his face, he still didn't react and kind of followed him around. Either way, I hope to see Loma sooner rather than later and against someone elite. Peace.

I play fantasy boxing against my twin and I drafted Mikey years ago. I'm constantly being reminded that I've taken a bath on him so far! He needs a huge win bad. Scared Mikey will be hard to negotiate with and maybe he's checked out already. Sigh.

I'd like to see the fight but could have some issues with Arum. I'd like to see Loma fight Salido in March, then Gamboa in June, then move up to 135 for Mikey (Linares if Mikey not possible) in Oct.
