An extension is a drafted up letter from Canelo/management! He didnt ask for an extension and just dropped his title! AT the same time that he said he would drop his title he said there wasnt enough time to negotiate which is BS because he never intended on asking for an extension. Glad you are finally catching on!

Khan and ggg negotiations took place under different circunstances , khan wanted 154 for a mw title, canelo said ok ill give you 155 , when they negotiated with ggg i dont recall canelo asking for a cw, that shouldnt be a problem for mr anyone from 154 to 168 anyways, but the problem was the wbc trying to dictate terms.. again it turns out canelo saved millions by doing this..

Lol did you not see how many times the wbc talked about the deadline?? They said many times if no agreement canelo loses his title, but again that wasn't the main problem, it was the wbc trying to take control of everything including the money...

You're missing the point. 155 is the cutoff for ALL circumstances!! He would NOT fight anyone over 155 when he held a middleweight title and NOW goes on to potentially fight a 165 pound fighter! That is pure Canelo BS!

The deadline is movable because fighters and managers CAN ask for and receive an extension but NOT if they dont ask for one!

By Dan Ambrose: In a statement released moments ago, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez announced that he’s vacating his WBC middleweight title due to the deadline.

The question now is whether Canelo was serious about still wanting to negotiate the fight with Golovkin. The fact that Canelo gave up the WBC title without asking for an extension is an odd one because the WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman surely would have given Canelo an extension if he had asked for it.

And you are ignoring the fact that he will allow chavez to come at 165 but he is offering ggg more than double the money for a fight at his desired 160... canelo is willing to make weight concessions for both chavez and ggg, the only difference is he is offering ggg more than twice the money... ggg doesnt even has to sacrifice one pound while chavez has to go down 3...

Moving the date wouldnt change anything, canelo wasnt going to allow anyone else to dictate the money for a fight like this...
