Daniel Jacobs is the number 2 MW but hasn't proven he is an A-Class fighter yet. He could have if the Quillin fight had lasted more than a round. Thats not his fault. He signed for that fight which showed he was willing to find out. Now again he signs to fight an undefeated top MW to find prove he is A-Class. Golovkin also needs this fight to show he is an A-Class fighter. With only Lemieux on Golovkin's resume, he isn't at the A-Class level of the Andre Ward's of the world.
