Parker will look small compared to the super heavies like Joshua, Deontay and obviously T Fury and his pitter patter combinations are going to seem so feeble. He'll be turning up at the fight just for show only, trying to convince folks that he actually wants some of that work, then backs off and fights Chris Arreola in NZ.

      I agree.

Parker isn't a big set dude at 6'4"

I've seen him weigh in the 240s but he's packing quite a bit of extra bodyfat compared to the aforementioned. I think he'd be 220s if he lost that stone or so of baby fat.

I've also seen him land his best shots flush on ruiz, williams and Takam and they didn't budge.

But yeah I see him feasting on low level dudes in nz for as long as possible.

Just a question of who gets to him first. He'll be back playing rugby in a couple of years time coz those big boys gonna swallow him whole. Scraping a decision against a fat, 6' 2'' Andy Ruiz in your home town ain't exactly sending shockwaves through the division. This hypetrain is looking to get derailed.

If joshua gets past klitschko (and it's a big if) he has haye and fury options which are both light years ahead of wilder or parker in terms of the interest they would generate.

Parker needs to leave the backstreets of South auckland and wilder needs to leave the swamps of Alabama or whatever because right now they have 0 fan interest outside of their hometowns
You believe Wlad would prepare for another 6 months of his career to face an opponent he has no certainties will actually show up come fight night ?

Besides Fluff Furry has a tribunal for PED abuse, who's to say he ain't gonna cop a lengthily ban like the one being rooted for by all genuine boxing fans for Povetkin, why should Fluff not be deserving of the same outcome as Whyte, give Fluff and Povetkin a two year ban each, we'll have some fun on the betting section what weight Fluff can reach whilst banned.

It's gonna be interesting to See what AJ does next if he wins there's so many options. He can Unify with wilder or parker have an ibf or wba mandatory with pulev or ortiz or a huge money making domestic match up with Haye or Fury if he comes back.

Call me crazy, ****** or whatever but I have been 0% impressed with Parker so far. In addition he is probably the most boring HW fighter of all the marquee names. Not sure what ppl see in him as a fighter that make them think he will seriouslybe a threat to any of the top tier Heavies at the moment. Furthermore, Ortiz, Vlad, Wilder and AJ all beat him. Hell even old man Briggs has a chance to take him out. He just doesn't impess me at all.

                He's bigger than Luis Ortiz.

Parker sees the money being worked up, and he wants in on the action.

If you believe what Eddie Hearn has been saying, Anthony Joshua is basically going to be fighting three times a year, going forward. Klitschko at the end of April, another fight likely in September, and then a final fight to close out the year.

With the business relationships being what they are, Deontay Wilder is pretty well situated to be the odds-on bet for that December fight. It's on Joseph Parker and his handlers to do something to make Parker the pick for that September fight (the Andy Ruiz performance ending up not being all that special).

Parker's management can "want" all they want; if the end goal is still Wilder-Joshua, it's very likely that Joshua's September fight is possibly headed to the US (Barclays Center in NYC would seem to make sense).

Parker needs to find a way to show that he can sell tickets, in the UK or the US, before the ramp-up for the September opponent begins.
To be honest with you, I'm not to high on Parker as of now. If Wilder-Parker happens, I would like that because the winner could unify with the AJ-Wlad winner later in the year. Honestly, I think Wilder would beat Parker and I'm undecided on AJ-Wlad. However, the Wilder-Parker fight won't stop a December clash with AJ if that is the primary fight sought after..

Only hang-up is I doubt that Bob Arum goes along with seeing Parker getting fed to Deontay Wilder.

I earnestly think that the likely September fight for Anthony Joshua is going to be in the US (Barclays Center in NYC making the most sense).

I think Wilder after his Feb tuneup will head to Barclays for a couple fights with real contenders. He seems keen to really push the action this year, so I think he will do some high-profile NY fights..
