I think Jacobs has a better than average chance to beat GGG but like everyone else, GGG will get very little credit for beating him if he does.

To all noobs on this site: Jacobs is just promoting the fight. He's not doing this on his own. He's being coached by his team, and rightfully so. The more PPV buys they can get the higher his income from the fight will be. Same with GGG's side.

Not sure Jacobs is right about people expecting Quillin to beat him. I don't remember the betting odds, but I also don't remember anyone being confident Quillin would win. Quillin looked good in spots against Lee, but at times he looked pretty awful.
The 'pick 'em' article in The Ring when it arrives will likely have 30 picking Golovkin and 1 Jacobs (there's usually one that goes for the upset), but most of those 30 will mention the possibility of Jacobs pulling it out.
I'm not sure Golovkin is the type to look past people though, so he's unlikely to show up expecting a rollover. If he gets beat, it'll be a good and valid win for Jacobs.

“It’s like you’re watching social media all day, looking for what the fans say about you."
immediately after that sentence:
"Like I don’t care about that stuff. "
